Catch Up - Final Post for JIT

On the IceIce Well, I've been pretty lazy for the past 2 days, not posting anything to the Blog. Subsequent to the day around Brooklyn, Werner and I spent Saturday lurking around Central Park. We walked until we could go no more, spending a bit of time on the ice. The park is a little gloomy, due to there being no leaves on the trees etc. All in all, it was a good walk, ending off with coffee at Starbucks. All in all, it was another rather chilled day for me. Yes, I did not take too many photo's, but rather focused on put'n 1 foot in front of the other (I was way tired and the walk was long).

Anyhow, with that being said, I have included a couple of pictures from Brooklyn Bridge walk below.

Well, That was the Friday and Saturday. After these 2 days, I was broken. On Sunday, we woke up, had a top notch McDonalds breakfast and headed to an old Cathedral. The "Ceremony" was in progress, but tourists were still allowed to move through the back of the building. Werner and I sat for a while, and watched the procession move to the stage. It was very strange, as I have never sat through a 100% old school Catholic service. We couldn't take photographs as the service was on. The size of the building was unbelievable, and I will be sure to return to it to get some photo's.

Well, after the service, we pretty much headed back to the hostel. It was a bit of a gloomy day, as this was the goodbye to my almost 3 month touring partner. Werner caught a shuttle to JFK and is back in SA. I opted for the cheaper train option, using the subways to lug my baggage all the way to JFK, in order to get the hotel shuttle to the place I am in at the moment. What an experience. Very tiring hauling +- 80pounds of luggage around.

Well, thats the end of that. Be sure to check out my new blog, which will hopefully be updated regularly, and will include the touring that Vesna and I do.
